They’re perfectly broken in and fit like a dream, but the color had faded over time. Instead of giving up on them, I decided to dye them and give them a fresh new look!

This small project feels like a win for sustainability—and my wardrobe. 🩶 Sometimes, a little creativity is all we need to rescue our favorite pieces.

The Back in Black fabric collection by Henry Glass Fabrics is a dream for modern quilters! 🖤 I used the black-on-black prints in a scrappy way for the background of this modern Ohio Star quilt, and the texture they add is incredible.

To finish it off, I chose Parkside 118” Wide by Color Principle Studio in a striking black-and-white design for the backing. It’s the perfect combo for bold, modern quilting!

Our group quilt, Walls, was accepted into QuiltCon 2025!

This quilt was such a fun collaboration with my friends in the Boulder Modern Quilt Guild. We were inspired by Martha Clippinger’s Vibrating Boundaries at the North Carolina Museum of Art and wanted to explore the idea of breaking down creative boundaries in our quilting.
We’re so excited to see it hanging at the show.
