Steps to longarming with Sew Colorado Quilting
I know how hard it can be to wait for your quilt to be done, so I want the quilting process to run as smoothly as possible to avoid any delays! Please read through the steps and follow the quilt prep checklist.
Quilting turnaround times are always listed on the home page.
1. Pick Your Pattern
There are over 500 designs to choose from!
2. Order any batting or backing fabrics from the shop (or send your own).
3. Request Quilting
Fill out the form to request quilting.
4. Quilt Preparation
Prep your quilt and backing according to the quilt prep checklist.
5. Confirmation and Drop-Off
I’ll reach out to you to confirm your request and coordinate a drop-off time.
6. Shipping Notification
If you are shipping your quilt, I’ll notify you upon its arrival.
7. Thread and Design Discussion
When I’m prepping your quilt, I’ll contact you to discuss thread color and design. I can provide suggestions if needed.
8. Progress Updates
I’ll keep you in the loop by texting or emailing a picture of the quilt during the quilting process.
9. Additional Services Update
If you choose additional services such as trimming and squaring or binding, I’ll provide regular updates.
10. Final Reveal
Finally, I’ll send porch photos of your finished quilt!
